The future is looking pretty bright for the Seattle Seahawks these days. How could it not? Making a surprise playoff appearance after going 7-9 and winning the NFC West division during the 2010 NFL regular season, the Seahawks took their opportunity and ran with it by winning a playoff game. That was the first time in NFL history in which a team with a losing regular season record won a playoff match. You've come to the right place if you're a longtime Seahawks fan or jumped on the bandwagon after their most current successful season.
Whether you're a fan of football and the Seattle Seahawks and enjoy watching the game live and in person or on your television screen in the comfort of your home we're sure you'll enjoy the information on our website. Everything you need to know, and even some information that you don't, about football, the National Football League and the Seattle Seahawks can be found here.
The Seattle Seahawks have been in the NFL since 1976, when they and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers were the newest expansion teams added to the league. If you've been a fan of them since then, congratulations as you haven't had much taste of success. Over the years, the Seahawks haven't hoisted the Lombardi trophy once and only made the Super Bowl once when they lost to the Pittsburgh Steelers during Super Bowl XL.
When all you ever want from your team is to see them win a championship once in your lifetime and they haven't, then every season is a failure. Even if that same team has made a total of 11 playoff appearances over the years and won a total of 7 division titles. Five of them have come in the NFC and two of them have come from their time in the AFC. Oh yeah, if you didn't know already, the Seahawks at one time played in the AFC before settling into their current division home as part of the NFC West alongside the St. Louis Rams, Arizona Cardinals and San Francisco 49er's.
It also doesn't hurt that there's such a strong fan support in place at Qwest Field. Every home game is a huge boost to the Seahawks' chances of winning a game because of that "12th Man." The "12th Man" refers to the home crowd advantage the Seahawks benefit from. Fans of the Seahawks can be some of the loudest fans in all of the NFL. The decibel levels for games in Qwest Field have reached as high as 137. Imagine 67,000 screaming fans cheering the Seahawks loudly 8 times a year at home, which has happened for 52 straight sold out home games.

With the "12th Man", rah-rah motivational head coach Pete Carroll, head smart and savvy general manager John Schneider and an owner in Paul Allen who's willing to spend money, the Seahawks should be in pretty good shape to compete in the future. Especially since they are in a pretty putrid division out west in the NFC. You don't have to be great while being a part of the NFC West division. If the future shows any indication, a winning record isn't even needed.
